The Great British Bake-off comes to Cardiff, Wales

Add some more info about this item...

What a brilliant day I had meeting the students of Howell's School in Cardiff, Wales. I did a talk for years 6 and 7, and they had lots of great questions. Both groups showed off their acting ability when I invited up 8 volunteers to help out with my 'Story Bake-off' inspired by The Great British Bake-off. We had Noel, Sandy, Paul, and Prue, plus 4 bakers, and it was great fun. Then I had a meeting with the book-club, and met lots of lovely students who love to read and are also budding fiction writers. Finally, I got to judge the biscuit bake-off - a tough job, but someone had to do it! The three finalists are in the photo below. Delicious!

Special thanks to librarian Willow Norman for organising the day, and for Griffin Books for helping to arrange the book signing.
